About Engineers Europe (FEANI)

Engineers Europe was founded in 1951 by a group of French and German engineers who wanted technology to build links between former adversaries after the Second World War. It was known as FEANI, the European Federation of National Engineering Associations, until 1 January 2023. Today it unites national engineering associations from 33 European Higher Education Area countries. It awards the ‘EUR ING’ title, which is designed as a guarantee of competence for professional engineers and helps them work across borders. The European Commission has recognised the register and certificate as valuable tools for the recognition of national diplomas among member states.
